Are Amiibo Cards Legal?

Technically if you’re backing up a figure you own it’s legal, but it’s a gray area.

If you download and make your own then you are committing copyright infringement.

It’s very unlikely you’d be caught, but that’s what’s going on.

Selling them online definitely is illegal.

Does Nintendo make Amiibo cards?

Though, it’s not to hard to write NFC data on a NFC tag and there’s isn’t much in security features, so people can buy NFC tags and write data on them to make them essentially amiibo.
