Then when it comes out your copy will be guaranteed at whichever gamestop you pre ordered it at.
You pay how much ever is remaining between cost of the game and your pre order deposit.

Gamestop will charge you when the item ships, which is usually a few days before release in my experience. It’ll come down to the shipping you chose though in most cases, but I’d say you’re safe if you make sure you have the money in the appropriate account a week before release.
